Hey guys! Remember the classic story of a beautiful young woman who sees past the beastly exterior of a cursed prince that has been adapted numerous times since its 1991 animation (as a musical and TV shows in 1987 & 2012)? Well, the latest version stars Harry Potter‘s Emma Watson as Belle and Downton Abbey‘s Dan Stevens as the Beast and it already looks like it would be worth the wait..and watch. To say that people are excited to see this movie seems like a bit of understatement at this point.

It also stars great talents such as  Luke Evans as Gaston (Belle’s suitor), Oscar winner Kevin Kline as Maurice (Belle’s father), Josh Gad as Lefou (Gaston’s servant), Ewan McGregor as Lumiere (the candlestick), Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza (the grand piano), Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette (the feather duster), six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald as Madame Garderobe (the wardrobe), Oscar nominee Ian McKellen as Cogsworth (the clock), and two-time Academy Award winner Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts (the teapot).

Synopsis: The Beast is a prince who was cursed for his arrogance by an old woman who he refused to help, via an enchanted rose. He was transformed into a creature and will have to remain so forever unless he can find true love before the rose’s last petals fall. He lives in a big old castle surrounded by his former serving staff who have been transformed into household objects.

Belle is a smart, independent young woman who’s being aggressively pursed by Gaston, who she repeatedly rejects. One day her dad Maurice gets lost in the forest and stumbles into the Beast‘s castle. He detains him but Belle offers to swap, leading to romance between the two (Stockholm syndrome if you ask me…or maybe just plain true love).

The live-action adaptation of 1991 Disney classic Beauty and the Beast is set for release on 10th March but first, a look at the trailer that got people excited…
